Markaz Tarbiyya

About

An institution rooted in faith, knowledge, and service

An Islamic education and community development institution building a generation rooted in faith, knowledge, service, and responsibility.

Who we are

Markaz Tarbiyya is an Islamic education and community development organization based in Mwera Village, Pangani District, Tanga Region. We work to combine Islamic values, formal education, community care, and practical development so that young people and families can grow with knowledge, dignity, and purpose.

Our roots run deep. Markaz Tarbiyya grew out of Madrassa Islamic classes that have served this community for more than fifty years. Building on that foundation, we are now transitioning toward a hybrid education model that combines Islamic and secular education — preparing students who are academically capable and firmly grounded in faith, morals, and service to society.

“Educate yourself, serve Islam.”
